Three Wonderful Reasons to Visit Wilmington

This March, the City of Wilmington is offering an amazing assortment of activities and events for our guests, and listed here are three of our favorites. First, don’t miss one of the most popular St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the Southeast−the Wilmington St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. Join us on March 14 in downtown Wilmington for the legendary parade and a festival beginning immediately after. Featuring a performance from the Walsh Kelley School of Irish Dance and live music from three additional bands, the fest also offers a kid’s zone and loads of food and drink. Next, stick around for the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival on March 21 at Legion Stadium.

Indulge your love of BBQ, washed down with beer and bourbon, along with games, live music, dancing, and a cigar zone. Lastly, be sure to check out the North Carolina Azalea Festival Juried Art Show and Sale from March 28 through April 5 at the Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center. Often referred to as the “Official Art Show” of the North Carolina Azalea Festival, this prestigious annual exhibition will feature the finest work of over 100 state and national artists.
